’சில்க்’ நண்பர்கள் பலரின் மலரும் நினவுகளைத் தட்டிவிட்டது.....

AJB: அந்த கடைசிநேரத்தில் Solidaire டிவி ரெம்ப நேரம் கலர் காட்ட மறுத்தது. நம்ம பசங்க யாரோதான் எதையோ திருப்பிவிட்டதும் தான் டார்க்கா வண்ண தொலை காட்சியை முதலில் நம்மில் பலர் பார்த்தோம். மறக்க முடியுமா? என்ன விசில்! என்ன சத்தம்!!

Senthil: ஹாய் சுபாகர், அப்போது ஈரோடில் சினிமா வண்டிநோட்டீஸ் போட்டுச் செல்லும்.நாங்கள் அதை துரத்திச் சென்று நோட்டீஸ் வாங்குவோம்.மற்றபடி லீவு விட்டால் எங்கள் கிராமம் சென்று அங்குள்ள என் செட் பசங்களுடன் வெயில் காலத்தில் நுங்கு வண்டியும் பொதுவாக டயர் வண்டியும் ஓடி ஓடி விடுவோம். மூன்றாம் வகுப்பில் சைக்கிள் பழகிவிட்டபடியால்(குரங்கு பெடல்) ஓட்டம் நின்று விட்டது.

Santhanam: சுபா, உன்னுடைய எழுத்தை மிகவும் ரசித்தேன்! சமீபத்தில் தான் சென்னை சென்று வந்தவன் என்ற முறையில் அந்த சிவப்பு நிற பல்லவனெல்லாம் இன்று "வால்வோ"' ஊர்திகளாய் வலம் வருவதை காலத்தின் கட்டாயம் என்பதை தவிர வேறு என்ன சொல்ல. நம்ம ஊரில் இன்னொன்றையும் கவனித்தேன். கலர் கலராக வர்ணம் அடிக்கப்பட்ட வீடுகள் மற்றும் கட்டடங்கள். விசாரித்ததில் அவையெல்லாம் வாஸ்து கலர்கள் என்றும் ஒவ்வொரு திசைக்கும் ஒரு வாஸ்து வர்ணம் உள்ளது என்றும் தெரிந்து கொண்டேன். நம்ம ஆளுங்க விவேக் காமெடியையும் ரசிக்கிறாங்க, வாஸ்துவையும் நம்பறாங்க! நம்ம ஊரு நம்ம ஊருதான்!!!
(To borrow Manick's words..."What a country !" ... and what a diversity!!) எல்லாம் சரி, அது என்ன தலைப்பு? புதிராக உள்ளதே!?!

Daya: Even I was wondering why there is no mention of / discussion about 'Smitha' while the subject line says "Silk" . Atleast I have company in Santhanam ( or for that matter most of the members wondering silently). Then a Flash ....Oh Subahar is discussing about original Silk & saree & Kancheevaram, and that is the connection ...Was it not Sanjeevi who did that golden, nay colorful touch and became instant hero. It just reminds me of an incident during May 83. It was the day of World cup Finals. I was in Hyderabad in my brother's house. On that day morning our TV failed. Few families (mind you there were couple of beautiful young girls) in the neighbourhood, were dependent on this TV set for watching the grand Finale. Focus shifted on me. After all I have completed 4 years in Electronics & Communication and supposed to know 80% of everything electronics ( TV radio...) So I am supposed to service and make TV set good. (I could not say TV is not my elective subject ) So I did what best I could think of under the given circumstance. I demanded for a screw driver opened the cover of TV set and cleared all the dust inside. I put the cover back and switched the set 'ON' Bravo! It started working normally. None of them believed that I have not done anything. They thought that I had actually serviced (& trying to be modest). Any way we enjoyed the Indian victory thoroughly. (Raghu : See I have serviced a TV in Hyderabad long before you established your "Service" empire!)

Pagalavan: சந்தானம், சுபாகரோட மடலே, பட்டு நெசவுத் தொழிலாளியைப் பற்றி எடுக்கப்பட்ட படம் "காஞ்சீபுரம்" தந்த உந்துதலால் என்பதால் அந்த "சில்க்". மற்றபடி, நீ பாட்டுக்கு அவன் எதோ சிலுக்கு-வைப்பத்தி சொல்ல வர்றான்னு நெனச்சிட்டியாக்கும்? :-))

AJB: பகல் , உண்மையை சொல்லு, அந்த டைட்டில் ஒரு உந்துதலை கொடுத்த இல்லையா ? பாவம் - சிலுக்கு - இறந்து போன இள நடிகைகளில் ஒன்றானாள். சுபாகரின் சந்தை தொழில் நுட்பம் வேலை செய்ததுக்கு சான்று இத்துணை மின்னஞ்சல்களே .. தூங்கிய அனைவரும் எழுந்து கொண்டனர் போலும்.

It was a guy wearing glasses. Was it that "white" guy who was our senior by 1 or 2 years?
The Tamil posts are interesting and take me back to a time when my only Tamil-speaking friends were SriLankans. It was a bit of a struggle to understand what they were saying, but I think I got it after a while :-)

TV Ravi: அன்பு நண்பா, தொடரவும். வடிவேல் சொல்வது போல "கிளப்புங்கள்". உனது வரிகளால் ஆட்டோ கிராப், என்றும் "நினைத்தாலே இனிக்கும்". அன்று மதுரைக்கு வரும் ஒரே போக்கர் பிரிஎண்ட்ஷிப் என்ற இரட்டை விசிறி விமானத்தை பார்க்க வீட்டில் இருந்து அதன் சத்தம் கேட்டதும் ஓடி வந்தது தான் நினைவிருக்கின்றது. பி கு: உனக்கு ஒரு வேண்டுதல், தயவு செய்து உனது நினைவுகளை இப்போதே எழுதி வைக்கவும். உன் அளவிற்கு எனக்கு நினைவில் இல்லை. எத்தனை நண்பர்களுக்கு நினைவிருக்கும் என்பதும் தெரியவில்லை. நான் உனது எழுத்துகளை சேமிக்கிறேன்.

TKP: Dear Mr Subahar, I have also recollected the first Tamil Movie I have seen in Madras Doordharshan. It was Gemini's Motor Sundaram Pillai .( The name taken from TVS "s Sundaram Motors). I think the first Tamil movie telecasted by Madras Doordharshan was Shivaji's Thillana Mohanambal (in 1975)
